Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2026-04-29T23:06Z ( ACE: MAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
ACE: MAG
ACE: SWEPAM
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
Activity ID: 2026-04-29T23:06:00-IPS-001 (version 2)
Quality of ICME Signature: 1 (lacks some signatures)
Note: Characterized by an amplification of magnetic field components with Btotal increasing from ~6nT at 2026-04-29T23:06Z to 13nT at 2026-04-30T15:26Z. A minor increase in solar wind speed was also observed throughout this signature with speeds increasing from 322 km/s to ~380 km/s. Density values increased slightly to ~10 p/cc before decreasing to 0.1 p/cc at 2026-04-30T15:49Z during the onset of a coronal hole high speed stream. This signature is likely associated with the arrival of a corotating interaction region preceding the 2026-04-30 coronal hole high speed stream arrival.
